All work days are on Saturdays from 10.00 am to approximately 1.00 pm. There are usually signs to our work site from the entrance in Beech Avenue but check for up to date information. Wear suitable stout clothing and gloves and bring your own tools if you have them: shears, rake, bow saw, loppers etc. We can provide them if you don't have your own. If you become a member we'll notify you before each work day with more details or look at the Next Work Party page .

February 6th SPRING TIDY UP. Removal of all the branches that have fallen during the winter to the bonfire site, clearing paths of leaves. Cancelled

March 13th BONFIRE. Dispose of all the accumulated timber and any left over from December 2020 bonfire.

Task changed to preparation of site for tool storage unit and clearing cherry laurel

April 17th TENDING LAST YEAR'S SAPLINGS. Clearing around the 40 saplings that were planted in October last year.

Task changed to continuing to clear cherry laurel and removing fallen branches from paths.

May 15th CARING FOR PREVIOUS YEARS TREES. Returning to old sites to ensure that our young trees have room to spread their branches. We also had the official opening of "The Green Room".

June 12th PATH CLEARING. Usually by this time of the year, nettles and brambles will need to be cut back to keep the paths clear. However, there is a priority to help out in Wettern Tree Gardens.

July 10th BARBEQUE. We will all be actually be able to gather together to enjoy a BBQ this year. Before this a bit more work in Wettern Tree Garden and clearing round newly panted trees.

September 11th MORE SPRING BULBS. More daffodils and crocuses. Hopefully last years planting will have given the Beeches a good show. Again we'll be helping the Friends of Wettern Tree Gardens.

October 9th AUTUMN CLEAR UP. Summer growth will be dying back, a final opportunity to clear paths and care for our new trees. Also there is a donated tree to plant and possibly weeding the rose garden in Wettern Tree Gardens.

November 13th WINTER BONFIRE. The second of our annual bonfires, a really fun time and a fitting conclusion to our year’s work in the Beeches.
